- Placement: Keep the Linga in a clean, elevated, and dedicated puja space.
- Offerings: Simple water abhishekam can be offered along with flowers, bilva leaves, a lamp, and incense according to tradition.
- Mantra: Chant "ॐ नमः शिवाय" (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) 11, 27, 54, or 108 times, followed by silent meditation. The Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra may also be recited.
- Sacred Days: Mondays, Pradosham, and Maha Shivaratri are especially auspicious for worship.

Do’s & Don’ts

- Treat the Linga with reverence and keep it clean.
- Avoid placing it on the floor, near shoes, in bathrooms, or among clutter.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, careless handling, or using the Linga for supernatural powers or material expectations.
- Remember that the sacred Linga is an aid to spiritual transformation, not a substitute for sadhana.

Observances During Menstruation

- Energy Principles & Physical Observances: Refrain from handling the Linga, performing abhishekam, changing altar objects, or conducting formal physical puja during menstruation. Resume physical worship after the purification ritual.
- Internal Devotion: Maintain an unbroken spiritual connection through Manasika Puja (mental worship and meditation), mental japa (internal repetition of "Om Namah Shivaya"), and continuous inward prayer.
