Sacred Guru Padukas(Lifesize) – Blessed by Amma

These beautiful wooden Guru Padukas offered to Amma Sri Karunamayi to wear on the sacred occasion of Guru Purnima and were personally blessed by Amma, making them a precious form of Guru Prasadam and a sacred representation of Amma’s Sri Charanam – Divine Lotus Feet.

In the Hindu spiritual tradition, the feet of the Guru are revered as the seat of divine grace, wisdom, protection and spiritual guidance. Guru Padukas therefore represent much more than sacred sandals. They symbolize Guru Tattva—the eternal principle of the Divine Guru—and the devotee’s surrender (Sharanagati), humility, devotion and willingness to walk the spiritual path shown by the Guru.

Their association with Guru Purnima, the sacred day dedicated to honoring and expressing gratitude to the Guru, gives these Padukas an especially profound devotional significance. Blessed by Amma on this auspicious occasion, they may be treasured as a tangible reminder of Amma’s divine presence, grace and blessings.

Devotees may keep the Padukas respectfully in the puja room or on an elevated sacred altar, preferably near Amma’s photograph or murti. They may be worshipped with flowers, sandalwood, kumkum, akshata, incense, a lamp, naivedyam and arati according to one’s tradition. Even a simple flower offered with devotion, followed by pranam and meditation at Amma’s sacred feet, is a beautiful form of Guru Paduka Seva.

  Salutations to the Divine Guru.
• Namo Namah Sri Guru Padukabhyam
  Again and again, salutations to the sacred Padukas of the Guru.

The deepest significance of these Padukas lies in the blessing of the Guru and the devotion with which they were offered and received. They remind us to place our ego, worries and burdens at the Divine Mother’s feet, seek Her guidance and protection, remain grateful for Her grace, and strive to walk in the footsteps of the Guru.

At Amma’s Lotus Feet, surrender becomes devotion, devotion becomes grace, and grace becomes the path that leads us toward the Divine.
